A Crafter's Dream

I'm so excited about these new earrings! I saw a picture of some similar earrings online and thought, hmm....I wonder if I can make those? After a couple attempts I was able to figure it out and I just love how they turned out. Yay! I love when something turns out exactly how you imagined it would. I'm sure my fellow crafters will agree. They were really time consuming to make, but worth it i'd say. I'm going to try and put some up on etsy soon. I wore the black ones yesterday, and the copper ones today and got lots of compliments. I think i'll keep these two for myself : )

upcycled button earrings

I have been a busy bee lately! Starting lots of new jewelry projects and being fortunate enough to actually finish some of them! I'm really excited about my new UPCYCLED button earrings. I love that I can take something that has been forgotten about for so many years and make it into something lovely and beautiful again. Aren't they fun?! These are just a few of them. I'll be posting them on Etsy slowly but surely so be sure to go and check them out.
I've also recently got a hammer and a stainless steel block for hammering wires and metals. I've been experimenting with this a lot and have made some earrings I'm really happy with. These and more to come shortly!

PLUG for TalarLaraDesigns

My sister just opened up her very own etsy shop -- TalarLaraDesigns! A couple of months ago she came up with the grand idea to start making beaded headbands. It seemed way to complicated to me, but she persevered through the ups and downs of making a new product and has now created some truly exquisite pieces. It started more as a christmas gift idea for friends and family, but after getting such great feedback from the people who saw and recieved the headbands, she decided to try and sell them on etsy.

The process is very time consuming, but she is so excited and proud of each headband that she finishes. She gave me a headband for christmas and I love it because it is so versatile. You can wear it everyday with jeans and a t-shirt, but it's also great for special occasions. I think it would even be gorgeous for a bride to wear on her wedding day!

I hope you'll take the time to go and check out her new storefront and maybe even give her a couple of hearts. You might even see a headband that you can't live without! If you read this feature and are her first costumer you'll also a recieve a FREE GIFT from me-CocoaBeadDesigns with your purchase. Just mention my blog in the comment to seller box at check out or leave me a comment to recieve your free gift.
